Job Description Primary objectives for the Food and Beverage Assistant will be: Supervise the day‑to‑day operations of the bar and catering facilities. Ensure the highest possible standards of health and safety and customer care. Day‑to‑Day Tasks Supervise the day‑to‑day operation of the bar, restaurant and kitchen of the Centre. Prepare and cook meals and snacks in accordance with Centre requirements. Undertake front‑of‑house bar duties as necessary. Ensure all food is covered, stored, labelled and dated to meet food safety regulations. Handle, store, prepare and serve food and drink in a way that prevents contamination. Ensure the kitchen and bar areas are entered only by authorised persons. Complete all cleaning duties while on shift. Report staff or public injuries to the Centre Manager. Record and forward complaints to the Centre Manager. Carry out health and safety procedures at all times. Deliver consistently high level of service to customers. Assist in managing the Centre’s quality assurance systems. Undertake cleaning duties and other regulatory requirements as needed. Handle cash responsibly and adhere to company financial regulations. Provide a safe and efficient service for the public. Act as a key holder when required. Perform any other duties assigned by the Centre Manager to achieve contract objectives. Qualifications The post holder will preferably hold a recognised qualification in catering or a related subject, a first‑aid certificate, a Food and Hygiene Certificate, and strong knowledge of the leisure industry in a small/medium enterprise. Personal Characteristics Build strong relationships with customers, clients and employees. Communicate at different organisational levels, listen and direct. Work additional hours when required. Commit to good employee relations and deliver quality training. Be flexible to work from various locations as required.
