OverviewFirst Military Recruitment is seeking a Forklift Mechanic on behalf of a client. The successful candidate will carry out routine maintenance and repairs on long/short‑term machines and customer‑owned equipment, ensuring best practice with quality and professionalism at all times and maintaining customer satisfaction. Ex‑military personnel are strongly encouraged to apply, but all candidates will be considered. ResponsibilitiesCommission, maintain, and service equipment and plant machinery.Repair, maintain, and service forklift trucks.Repair or replace faulty parts.Report to the Service Co‑ordinator for scheduled work.Maintain and develop relationships with customers.Follow Service Team procedures.Adhere to site health & safety requirements.Pursue personal development and attend training courses as required.Adhere to company quality and compliance responsibilities, policies, and procedures.Perform additional duties as necessary to meet changing organisational and business objectives. Skills and QualificationsNVQ in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).Knowledge of forklift trucks.Analytical with an eye for detail.Excellent communication skills.Professional and strong interpersonal skills.Able to work to tight deadlines.Flexible and willing to help others.Courteous, friendly, and tactful.
