Baddow Village Surgery are looking for professional receptionist to join our growing team to provide first-rate customer care at the front desk and on the telephone.The position is offered on a part-time basis for 18 hours, with the following shift pattern:Monday: 7:45am-1:45pmFriday: 7.45am-1:45pmYou must be able to work flexibly in a team of receptionists on a rota basis to cover surgery opening hours and also provide holiday and sickness cover, as needed, on an overtime basis.You will be the first point of contact for all visitors to the practice and will be expected to follow the practice policies and procedures of always aiming to provide high quality primary care services. Our receptionists will always be expected to be professional, helpful and understanding of our patients needs.Main duties of the jobAnswering the telephoneDealing with all enquiries from patients attending the SurgeryBooking and cancelling appointmentsBooking in patients arriving for appointmentsDealing with non-clinical enquiries regarding prescriptionsRecording home visit requestsTaking results via the telephone from hospitalsTelephoning patients with results/scans etc., at the doctors requestTelephoning patients when necessaryChaperoning for patients when necessaryUsing SystmOne to send internal tasks, access patient records, send internal and external messages, write patient correspondence etcAbout usBaddow Village Surgery is a well-established, semi-rural training practice, located a few miles south of Chelmsford city centre close to the A12.
