Derwentside IRC is an Immigration Removal Centre based in Consett, County Durham. The site supports up to 80 women aged 18+ with primary care, mental health and substance misuse service. GP sessions are similar to those in community and focus mainly on a acute needs with a holistic and trauma informed approach. The site is based around 25 minutes drive from Durham, and 30 minutes from Newcastle upon Tyne, suitable applicant will need to drive as public transport is limited in this area. Hours Session can take place Monday-Friday 8am-5pm Salary This position is a bank role paying £81.98 per hour – depending on experience. How will we support you? What you’ll be doing: Deliver first class healthcare to a diverse group of patients, and therefore as a General Practitioner, practice in a Practice Plus Group gives you the opportunity to further develop your knowledge in an area you would not usually experience within a practice, or even A&E environment. Provide clinical assessment and diagnosis to patient’s requirements and make timely decisions regarding future management.Provide a highly specialist resource to other members of the healthcare team at site, as well as the patients you work with having active involvement in clinical governance and effectiveness activities.
