Overview Mental Health Assistant – Slough Aspiring Therapist role: support children with mental health issues in a specialist school for ages 4 to 11. Full‑time, Mon‑Fri 8.30am–3pm, starting ASAP or September 2023. Salary £85‑£100 per day. Responsibilities Provide consistent, child‑centred support for children with social and emotional mental health needs. Assist therapists, counsellors and psychologists on‑site – shadow sessions, observe therapy and participate in therapeutic activities. Collaborate with the school team to maintain a supportive learning environment. Qualifications Graduate – relevant degree (Psychology, Counselling, Criminology) preferred but other subjects considered. Experience working with children with complex needs is an advantage.
