Would you like to join the world's leading calibration services company, offering flexible work options and excellent career growth opportunities?We have an exciting opportunity for you as a Procurement Specialist based at our Derby site, working for one of our largest customers.Job OpportunityJoining our team as a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for identifying new suppliers and managing and building those relationships, ensuring supplier performance is maintained in line with agreed KPIs to maximise customer satisfaction.You will also be responsible for :Process purchase requisitionsIdentifying new suppliers, managing purchasing contracts and suppliersPurchasing equipment, consumables and controlling overhead costAssisting with negotiating pricesReporting on vendor spendBuild relationships with new and existing suppliersInput information into the management system for analysis and reportingDealing with client and supplier queriesEssential SkillsTechnical purchasing experience with the ability to assimilate technical informationExcellent understanding of purchasing practices, export control, and managing suppliersA proven track record in developing a good working relationship with suppliersMCIPS qualification or working towards or relevant experienceThe ability to work independently and as part of a teamExcellent telephone manner and communication skillsExperience of working with minimum supervision in a busy and demanding environmentOrganisational skills and ability to meet deadlinesAbout CompanyTrescal is the global leader in calibration services, offering an array of industries a single source for measurement, repair and asset management across the globe.
