Locality Manager, Emergency Medical Service - South Powys & Cwm Taff Locality Manager, Emergency Medical Service x2 South Powys and South Cwm Taff Following a period of organisational change the Operations Directorate is configuring to both build on our foundations of success and to meet the Trust's long-term ambitions. A new structure is rolling out across the directorate and now is an exciting time to join and help create a stable and effective leadership and management team for this service area. We are looking to recruit 2 Locality Managers, Emergency Medical Service (EMS) within EMS South Powys and South Cwm Taff. Main duties of the job The position will report to the Service Manager, EMS, you will be the locality's operational point of contact for our external stakeholders, whilst providing leadership to your Locality Managers for effective delivery. Using your previous operational emergency service or health care experience, you will translate organisational strategy to local delivery plans. Your profile shall be raised further as a consequence of acting in the role of Tactical Commander for the organisation. This function requires your commitment to working an on-call roster. Person Specification Qualifications and Knowledge Knowledge of health service management to master's level achieved through professionally related qualifications and/or relevant experience. ILM Level 4 in Leadership and Management Current Silver/Tactical Commander qualification (can be achieved post-entry) Evidence of continued professional development. Registered Healthcare Professional. Experience Previous experience working in health or public services. Evidence of working across sectors/inter agency. Experience of managing resources including efficiency savings and financial recovery planning. Experience of developing and maintaining effective partnerships with stakeholders in the redesign of services. Experience of managing capacity and demand activity/workforce planning. Experience of project management and imaginative planning. Experience of successfully managing change, translating strategy to operational plans and tactics. Evidence of professional leadership, leading to innovation in practice. Experience in complaint management Experience in research and development. Experience in modernising services. Skills and Attributes Ability to present highly complex and emotive information clearly and openly with staff. An open and facilitative style of leadership which can be adapted when necessary to ensure delivery of objectives. Able to hold professionals and peers to account.
