If you have a disability or special need that requires accommodation, please let us know. Role Summary Rackspace transforms its Professional Services organization into a technology-first delivery engine. As a Practice Manager, you are the capability leader for your cloud domain — bringing deep technical expertise and the ability to personally lead-by-example the technical aspects of our most complex projects. You will set the technical vision for your practice, build and grow the skills of our consultants, and lead from the front — engaging with clients, validating designs, ensuring delivery excellence, and resolving escalations hands‑on. Alongside this, you will define and execute the practice development strategy, including capability building, technology radar, AI integration into delivery, and go‑to‑market readiness. This role is for a technical leader who inspires confidence through hands‑on credibility and someone who can switch seamlessly between advising C‑level executives, guiding technical teams, and delivering solutions themselves. Key Responsibilities Act as the hands‑on technical authority for your practice, validating architecture, delivery approaches, and project estimations. Lead technical assurance (TQA) on in‑flight projects to confirm quality, standards alignment, and business outcomes. Personally lead resolution of complex technical escalations, setting the standard for problem‑solving within the team. Serve as the primary technical point of contact for major clients during delivery. Own the technical vision and development roadmap for Azure cloud capability. Build and maintain a technology radar to track technologies, frameworks, innovations, emerging patterns, and AI integration opportunities. Define and execute skill development and certification programs for your consultants. Maintain a repository of case studies, engagement histories, and best practices to showcase technical excellence. Drive AI adoption in delivery to demonstrate speed, innovation, quality, and customer outcomes. Partner with sales and pre‑sales teams to support them in sales engagements, from solution design, bid and RFP phase to delivery project closure. Deliver technical presentations, discovery workshops, and executive highlights to demonstrate leadership and vision. Lead, mentor, and inspire consultants and architects to develop their technical skills and advance their careers. Promote a culture of technical curiosity, continuous learning, and innovation. Build cross‑practice and cross‑region (EMEA/EG/DACH/US/IN) collaboration and knowledge‑sharing across Professional Services. Required Experience & Skills Proven deep technical expertise in Azure. Ideally demonstrated through architecture design, delivery leadership, and complex problem resolution. Knowledge of at least one programming language and its frameworks, including CI/CD tooling (Python, Java, .NET, TypeScript). Track record of building technical practices or capability teams within a consulting or Professional Services organization. Strong pre‑sales experience, including bid support, solution shaping and presentation, and estimation validation. Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and executive audiences. Experience with AI technologies and their application to professional services delivery. Demonstrated ability to balance hands‑on technical leadership with strategic people and practice management. We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses. These tools assist our recruitment team but do not replace human judgment. Final hiring decisions are ultimately made by humans.
