Leeds, United Kingdom Stantec Full time

Join to apply for the Asset Information Consultant role at Stantec. The Opportunity Our Asset Management Team has a significant track record of successful delivery across the Water, Energy, and Infrastructure sectors. We support our clients to help them drive performance and realise financial and social value from their assets. We do this by working with clients in a collaborative environment to provide strategic, resilient, sustainable, and solutions to their performance issues. We work with client teams and stakeholders to unlock hidden data and provide insight into the performance of their asset base, helping them to work more effectively and make systems‑based, informed and timely decisions. As an Asset Information Consultant you will work with Stantec’s clients to analyse, understand and report on the quality of their asset data and data processes, and the impact of poor‑quality data on their organisation. Good quality asset data and information is fundamental to effective asset management, the operation, maintenance and disposal of civil, electrical, mechanical and data assets. It enables good decision‑making and delivery of an organisation’s objectives over the lifetime of the asset. Poor quality data increases risks, cost and leads to service and compliance failures. Without good quality asset data, asset management tools, digital analytics, decision‑making tools, digital twins and AI cannot deliver their benefits. Failure to understand data quality leads to expensive wastage and sub‑optimal outcomes. We recognise that understanding asset data quality, identifying risks and the benefits of data quality improvements is a critical task for organisations that manage and maintain asset‑dependent processes. In this role you will identify data quality issues, the causes of quality issues, and the business processes and tools that create, use, update and delete the data. You will investigate and determine options for data quality improvement, including action plans to meet regulatory and compliance issues, as well as longer‑term solutions to enable efficient, safe, compliant operation of assets. You will also help clients by developing and applying data standards and specifications to enable efficient data management, interoperability between processes and systems. About You Experience of collecting and using asset data in a utility or process industry. Understanding and application of asset data quality management and applicable asset management and data standards. Understanding of asset hierarchies, naming conventions and data classification. Experience of quality management processes. Good communication skills, with the ability to analyse data and produce clear summaries and reports to explain data issues and their consequences. You will have experience of working collaboratively, with a sound knowledge of current legislation, technical standards, and codes. Above all, you will be inquisitive and keen to challenge the norms. About Stantec The Stantec community unites more than 34,000 employees working in over 450 locations across 6 continents.
