Weekend Security Officer role at EQUANS, based in University of Brighton, Lewes Road, BN2 4AT. Permanent part‑time position, 24 hours per week. Salary £17,063.40 per annum with benefits package. Shift Pattern Saturday + Sunday 7am–7pm Responsibilities Maintain security integrity of the 804‑resident Mithras Halls campus, guarding, patrolling and protecting buildings according to the assignment instructions. Fulfil health & safety responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s Health & Safety Policy and Management Plans. Ensure compliance with access control, visitor monitoring and booking systems, and drive efficient operation for excellent resident satisfaction. Respond professionally and courteously, providing accurate and timely information and services. Act as first responder to all out‑of‑hours calls, make safe where applicable and coordinate with the National Operation Centre to elevate the call when required. Knowledge of standard security and safety protocols. Excellent verbal communication skills. Ability to work well in a team. Quick thinking and problem‑solving skills. Strong attention to detail. Ability to work in high‑pressure environments. Working knowledge of relevant computer applications. First aid qualifications.
