The role involves deliveringongoing care to a diverse patient group, from those who are critically unwellto individuals requiring minimal rehabilitation, assessment, or advice. Youwill be responsible for providing high-quality assessment, treatment, advice,and evaluation for patients referred to the acute inpatient physiotherapyservice. This includes managing complex physical and psychological conditions.This role offers strong support for professional development, helping to buildclinical competencies and leadership skills, and it is based within themedical and care of the elderly teams.Main duties of the jobAs a vital member of themulti-disciplinary team, you will play an essential role in the smooth andeffective delivery of the Physiotherapy service at Princess Alexandra HospitalNHS Trust. To work closely with the Specialty Team Lead, you will contribute tomaintaining the highest standards of patient care while identifyingopportunities to enhance the service. You will also take part indepartment-wide training initiatives. The role requires a high degree ofautonomy, with responsibility for managing your own caseload and ensuring theseamless transfer of physiotherapy care across defined service areas or patientgroups. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will engage regularlywith patients, carers, and healthcare professionals. Provide guidance to junior staff, ensure adherence to protocols, and always maintain high professional standards.To offer holistic, individualised advice that may include alternative approaches to daily activities, the use of assistive technology or mobility aids, and environmental adaptationsall tailored to help patients achieve greater independence and reach their rehabilitation goals.Person SpecificationQualificationsHCPC registered.Degree In Physiotherapy or equivalent.Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (or equivalent)Experience in medical/care of the elderlyExperience in SystmOneTrained in Moving handling & BLSDisclosure and Barring Service CheckThis post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions. #J-18808-Ljbffr
