Our client, a leading company in the water sector, is currently seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a contract position based at Knapp Mill, Bournemouth, with hybrid working available. This is a pivotal role within the Commercial team, reporting directly to the Managing Quantity Surveyor.

Key Responsibilities:

Applications, valuations, and cost value reconciliation
Cost control and forecasting, including preparing and feeding information for monthly reports on value, cost, profit/loss, and cash flow
Supply chain management
Assisting with Risk and Value Management to optimise solutions, and regularly mentoring the project team
Contract Management, including all relevant contractual forms, methods of budgetary control, and relevant software applications
Preparing subcontract enquiries, negotiating, and setting up contracts
Ensuring all notifications/documents are kept up to date
Bringing safety risk situations to the attention of site management
Ongoing liaison with site team, subcontractors, and clients' representatives
Providing contractual advice to the site team as needed

Job Requirements:

Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
Membership or studying for membership with ARICS (Association of Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors)
Experience working with a main contractor

Desirable:

Experience working within the water sector
Knowledge of NEC contracts
