Base pay range £30,000‑£55,000 (negotiable DOE) Job purpose The key responsibilities of the role are to produce project estimates from enquiries received and lead the procurement of materials and trades for secured projects. The role involves working in a fast‑paced environment to deliver projects ranging from £20,000 up to £5 m. You will work closely with our entire team and our supply chain to produce detailed quotations, raise purchase orders, manage project budgets, and approve supplier invoices, while ensuring company margins are maintained and project timescales met. What’s on offer Car allowance Mobile Phone / Laptop (including personal use) 28 days holiday including Bank Holidays (increases by 1 day per full year of service, up to 33 days) Workplace Pension Health Care Cash Plan Death in Service cover Employee Benefits platform offering discounts and access to a range of services Office-based role with flexibility for hybrid working Primary responsibilities Receiving and reviewing initial tender enquiries from new and existing clients Generating a scope of works based on tender documentation, client schedules or site visits Providing expert guidance on project budget feasibility at early stages Producing quotations based on anticipated labour and material costs Obtaining quotes from supply chain for sub‑contractors and suppliers, and addressing tender queries Compiling final tenders and submitting to client deadlines Answering post‑tender queries from clients, undertaking value engineering exercises and contract sum negotiations Managing multiple tenders from various clients simultaneously Negotiating with sub‑contract trades to achieve best cost value Acting as Commercial Lead on secured projects, managing the ordering process to sub‑contractors and material suppliers Generating cost updates as projects progress, submitting interim valuations and compiling final accounts for client approval Producing post‑project cost analysis for internal review Developing and maintaining good working relationships with clients, sub‑contractors and suppliers Identifying new opportunities with prospective markets and clients Experience Ideally a minimum of 3 years experience as a self‑managing Estimator or Quantity Surveyor in the UK fit‑out sector, but open to other candidates with similar relevant experience Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and costs Proficient in using industry‑standard estimating software and tools Excellent analytical and numerical skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly with various stakeholders Seniority level Mid‑Senior level Employment type Full‑time Job function Management and Manufacturing Industries Construction #J-18808-Ljbffr
