Sports Medicine Physician – The Institute of Human Mechanics in Toronto The Institute of Human Mechanics, led by world-renowned sports medicine physician Dr. Anthony Galea, is seeking a Sports Medicine Physician to join our dynamic team. Our clinic is recognized globally for providing top‑of‑the‑line, evidence‑based care to elite athletes from all over the world, as well as individuals dealing with acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Our two clinic locations within the Toronto area focus more on tertiary sports medicine, as opposed to primary care. We have a large referral base from orthopaedic surgeons, rheumatologists and sports medicine primary care centres. The ideal candidate will be a motivated, patient‑focused physician with expertise in sports injury management, musculoskeletal ultrasound and ultrasound‑guided injections such as PRP and hyaluronic acid therapies, and spinal procedures under fluoroscopy. You will work within a multidisciplinary environment alongside a team of experienced clinicians who are committed to delivering exceptional, personalised care. Candidates must hold a valid medical licence and be in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. Training or experience in sports medicine, orthopaedics or related fields is a requirement. A strong background in regenerative medicine or interventional procedures is considered an asset. Recreation and Sport – Aquatic Attendant (Summer) NC101 Service Area: Neighbourhood and Community‑Wide Services Division: Recreation and Sport Job Type: Casual # of Openings: 50 Summary Aquatic Services provide London families and individuals of all ages with opportunities to participate in unstructured aquatic activities and structured educational programmes to teach drowning prevention and water safety. Role Reporting to the Supervisor, Recreation Services, the Aquatic Attendant is responsible for ensuring a safe and enjoyable aquatic experience for Londoners. This casual position works as part of a team in a public‑facing fast‑paced aquatic environment to promote public water safety, participate in drowning prevention events and assist with swim lessons while providing excellent customer service to Londoners. Job Responsibilities Control the use of pool equipment and amusement devices during recreational swims and facility rentals. Monitor the public while using the wading pools and/or slide during operating hours. Assist in the aquatic Learn‑to‑Swim program lesson planning, instruction and delivery with guidance from Instructor/guard. Promote public water‑safety education and drowning‑prevention initiatives. Participate in all training sessions and be able to demonstrate and maintain skills relevant to the position. Clean wading pool prior to filling and empty at the end of the day. Monitor the wading pool until it is completely emptied. Record and submit timely, neat and accurate documentation including but not limited to bather load, chemical logs, incident and accident reports, etc. Conduct and organise daily games and activities as well as weekly special event days. Demonstrate excellent customer service skills and a positive and professional attitude when communicating with participants, parents, the public and co‑workers. Demonstrate commitment to anti‑racism, anti‑oppression and human rights through practices and interactions with community partners, employees and individuals and support programs and initiatives that reflect this commitment. Demonstrate commitment and adherence to Health and Safety legislation and programmes; actively promote a culture of safety. Perform other tasks as assigned. Qualifications Current Standard First Aid Certificate (prior to the start of employment). Current Bronze Cross or higher Certificate. Current Lifesaving Society Assistant Instructor or higher Certificate recommended. Vulnerable Sector Police Check (VSPC) (prior to the start of employment). Skills and Abilities Ability to demonstrate good communication, high energy, enthusiasm and continued positive attitude. Ability to demonstrate interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and as a member of a team. High level of comfort in fast‑paced public‑facing environments. Experience working with children, youth and/or adults with special needs an asset. Second language is an asset (please indicate on resume). Other Information Starting Wage: $17.60 per hour Recreation and Sport – Building Attendant (Aquatics Summer) NC103 Service Area: Neighbourhood and Community‑Wide Services Division: Recreation and Sport Job Type: Casual # of Openings: 50 Summary Recreation Facilities provide all citizens the opportunity to participate in recreation activities in a welcoming, clean, safe, and inclusive space. Role Reporting to a Supervisor, Recreation Services, the Building Attendant position is responsible for ensuring a safe and clean, and functional operation inside and outside the facility. This casual position works as part of a team in a public‑facing fast‑paced environment assisting with set‑up and take‑down of programmes and activities including moving equipment, cleaning, and maintaining the facility, and providing excellent customer service to City of London patrons. Job Responsibilities Assist with the set‑up and take‑down of programmes, special events and rentals including moving equipment. Carry out and document the cleaning of the facility, change rooms, washrooms and storage areas including duties such as sweeping and mopping per City of London Cleaning Protocols. Follow maintenance checklist and keep accurate records of work done. Demonstrate excellent customer service skills and a positive and professional attitude when communicating with the public and co‑workers. Change and empty garbage and recycling receptacles. Ensure washrooms are stocked with necessary supplies. Notify supervisory staff when building supplies need to be replenished. Shovel snow on sidewalks and around entry and exit points to maintain clearance as required to ensure public safety.
