Summary Aquatic Services provide London families and individuals of all ages with opportunities to participate in unstructured aquatic activities and structured educational programs to teach drowning prevention and water safety. Role Reporting to the Supervisor, Aquatics, the Head Instructor/Lifeguard is responsible for opening and closing procedures at the pool, providing support to a variety of aquatic programs and ensuring a safe and enjoyable aquatic experience for Londoners. This casual position works as part of a team in a public facing fast paced aquatic environment providing high quality programs while providing excellent customer service. Job Responsibilities Responsible for the safety and supervision of the participants and staff to ensure that policies, rules and regulations are followed. Responsible for the safety, security and cleanliness of the facility. Provide support and coordination to a variety of aquatic programs such as drop-in programs, pool rentals, registered programs and special events. Act as a positive role model, work as a team to ensure staff are following protocols. Coordinate staff rotations, breaks, delegation of tasks, work assignments. Demonstrate excellent customer service skills along with a professional and positive attitude when communicating with the public and customers. Provide support as an Instructor/Lifeguard, Aquatic Attendant, Cashier and/or Building Attendant and maintain certifications for those positions. Perform cash, instructional, lifeguarding and aquafit duties as required. Knowledgeable of city programs and policies. Responsible for securing facility before and after programs. Participate in training sessions. Demonstrate commitment to anti-racism, anti-oppression and human rights through practices and interactions with community partners, employees, and individuals and support programs and initiatives that reflect this commitment. Demonstrate commitment and adherence to Health and Safety legislation and programs; actively promote a culture of safety. Perform other tasks as assigned. Qualifications One to two years’ experience as an Instructor/Lifeguard Current Standard First Aid Certificate Current National Lifeguard Certificate Current Lifesaving Instructor Certificate Current Aquatic Supervisor Certificate Current Airway Management Vulnerable Persons Police Screening (prior to the start of employment) Skills and Abilities Ability to demonstrate good communication, high energy, enthusiasm and continued positive attitude. Ability to demonstrate interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and as a member of a team. High level of comfort in fast paced public facing environments. Sports Product Specialist Our Client is seeking a Sports Product Specialist to be responsible for activities relating to sports betting operations. This role must combine a thorough understanding of sports betting with an extensive knowledge of professional and collegiate sports and current events, in order to maximize sports gambling revenues and limit liabilities for our Client and ensuring that product integrity is maintained to the highest standard. The Sports Product Specialist will play a crucial role in managing day-to-day sports betting operations, ensuring smooth processing of bets, monitoring odds, and maintaining accuracy across various betting markets. The Sports Product Specialist will work collaboratively with numerous internal and external teams in order to optimize processes, troubleshoot issues, and ensure an optimal experience for players while maximizing engagement. Skills Sports Betting Software/Systems, MS Office Type Contract Experience Required/Mandatory Skills Minimum 3 years of experience sports betting operations, casino operations, or a related industry. Degree or Diploma in Business or Sports Management or related field. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered. Analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions. Enhanced attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks under high pressure. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate live sporting events. High knowledge of professional sports and thorough understanding of online and retail sports betting. Familiarity with sports betting software and systems. Strong computer skills including but not limited to MS Office, Excel.
