SEN Teaching Assistant |

Prospero Teaching is proud to be working with a Good Ofsted-rated SEN School located on the outskirts of Southampton, Hampshire. We are currently seeking SEN Teaching Assistants to join their dedicated team and help provide exceptional support for pupils with Complex Needs, including Autism, ADHD, and SEMH.

This specialist school caters for pupils aged 11-16 years who require tailored educational and therapeutic support. The school prides itself on creating a nurturing, inclusive environment where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential. With small class sizes, a strong focus on individual learning plans, and access to specialist facilities, the school offers a holistic approach to education that combines academic learning with emotional and social development.
Staff work collaboratively with therapists and support professionals to ensure pupils receive the best care and education possible. The school also promotes vocational learning, life skills, and outdoor activities, helping students build confidence and independence.

Role Details

Location: Southampton, Hampshire
Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Type of Work: SEN Support
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent
Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday
Pay: From £90.74 per dayWhat Were Looking For:

Previous experience in SEN education or care (preferred but not essential)
A genuine passion for supporting children with ASD, ADHD, and Complex Needs
Proactive and enthusiastic, with a positive attitude
Willingness to assist with personal care when required
Ability to engage pupils in classroom and enrichment activitiesRequirements:

Right to work in the UK
Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate (or willingness to apply)
