You'll work in a supportive, close-knit team committed to creating meaningful learning experiences in a school culture grounded in safeguarding, inclusion, and pupil voice.This is more than a teaching job—it's an opportunity to help shape a school community where children feel safe, understood, and inspired to succeed.You will:Craft and deliver engaging, personalised lessons for pupils with complex SEN and ASC needsWork closely with a collaborative team of teachers and support staffChampion each pupil's social, emotional, and academic developmentBuild a warm, inclusive classroom where every child feels seen and celebratedUphold outstanding safeguarding and wellbeing practices across all areas of school lifeWho we are looking forYou will:Hold a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – ECTs and newly qualified teachers welcomeHave a recognised degreeBrings experience, passion, and creativity to working with SEN/ASC pupilsIdeally has Early Years, Reception, or KS1 experience (a significant advantage)Is calm, resilient, enthusiastic, and adaptableIs committed to inclusive education and the wellbeing of every childAbout usBower Lodge School is a brand-new specialist day school in Dibden, Southampton, for boys and girls aged 4–11 with a diagnosis of autism and a range of complex learning, communication, and sensory needs.Our new Options Primary School has capacity for 40 pupils and is dedicated to providing a nurturing, inclusive, and tailored learning environment where autistic young people can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.For over 19 years Options Autism have provided care and education to pupils, young people and adults with autism, complex needs and learning difficulties.
