Teaching Assistant 3/4 (Seaford Primary School) East Sussex County Council is looking for a Teaching Assistant 3/4 to work at Seaford Primary School. Hours & Working Pattern Up to 25 hours per week on a fixed term contract to 31/08/26. Working pattern: Part‑time, Term‑time only (39 weeks per year plus 6 weeks annual leave – increased after five years of continuous service). This is a fixed term of 8 months. Salary TA2: Grade 3, point 7, £24,796 per annum (pro‑rata £14,514; £1,209 PCM) for 25 hours. TA3: Grade 4, point 9, £25,185 per annum (pro‑rata £14,742; £1,228 PCM) for 25 hours. Ability to use language and other communication skills that pupils can understand and relate to. Experience of delivering interventions such as speech and language. Ability to monitor the pupils’ responses to the learning activities and, where appropriate, modify or adapt the activities as agreed with the teacher to achieve intended learning outcomes. Ability to carry out and report on systematic observations of pupils’ knowledge, understanding and skills. Ability to assist in the recording of lessons and assessment as required by the teacher. Ability to engage sympathetically with children with SEN. Ability to communicate high expectations for work and behaviour of children. Ability to work well in a team and has excellent interpersonal skills. Requirements Applicants will need to undertake Enhanced Disclosure via the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
