Wrexham Maelor Hospital is seeking a motivated Band 7 Respiratory Specialist Healthcare Professional to help develop and deliver our expanding Non‑Invasive Ventilation (NIV) service. Working alongside our respiratory consultants, you’ll provide expert clinical support for patients requiring NIV, drive service improvement, and act as a knowledgeable resource for the wider team. What we’re looking for Strong background in respiratory care Experience in NIV or a willingness to develop advanced skills Leadership, initiative, and a commitment to high‑quality patient care The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply. Main duties of the job Use computer systems for data entry, spreadsheets, databases, patient record checks, emailing, and preparing teaching packages and documentation. Work autonomously as part of the specialised respiratory multidisciplinary team. Provide a non‑invasive ventilation service within North Wales. Lead the NIV service at Wrexham Maelor Hospital. Act as a source of expertise in the management of NIV patients and provide an advisory service to other health care professionals, patients and carers. Liaise with set agreed objectives. Provide an autonomous respiratory assessment and diagnostic service using advanced clinical judgement and specialized knowledge. Carry out audits relevant to the service on a regular basis. Develop and deliver an outreach NIV service to the Emergency Department and Emergency Quadrant. Provide education and support to other departments regarding Non‑invasive ventilation as necessary.
