We are looking for a Personal Assistant (PA) to support a gentleman in the HU3 area of Hull. The gentleman is a wheelchair user and requires assistance with all aspects of his personal care. Responsibilities Provide assistance with personal care needs such as dressing, washing, toileting, and meals. Support him during walks, observing cars and buses, enjoying lively music, and other positive activities. Assist with domestic tasks the gentleman cannot perform, including laundry and cleaning. Use the hoist as instructed by the gentleman’s mother, the main carer. Follow guidance from the gentleman’s mother and work under her direction. Qualities & Qualifications Cheerful disposition and the ability to engage the gentleman in activities he finds interesting. Sensitivity to his feelings and an understanding of his communication style. Reliable and consistent in providing care. Willingness to learn what he finds engaging and to adapt support accordingly. Ability to provide high‑quality physical care and understand his particular care needs. Prepared to work closely with his mother and adhere to her instructions. Successful completion of a DBS check (cost covered by the local authority/employer). To be considered, you must be available to work on a full‑time / part‑time basis and be able to relocate to Hull.
