We have a great full-time, permanent opportunity for a combined Cook and Housekeeping position. About you... We are looking for a dedicated Cook / Housekeeper to join our highly skilled and motivated team. The successful candidate will be a team player who is enthusiastic about helping us provide the highest quality of care to our children and young people. This will be achieved by maintaining Larchwood’s high standards of cleanliness and preparing meals that meet the individual needs of the children and young people in our care. About the team... Our children’s home - Larchwood provides short breaks overnight respite care for children and young people with severe and complex needs. Working at Larchwood is both rewarding and challenging. Our children and young people are all unique and require individualised care. Our staff strive for excellence, ensuring that the care we provide is responsive to each child’s or young person’s views, wishes and feelings. Key responsibilities… You will be responsible for the daily cleaning duties to maintain the highest standard of cleanliness at Larchwood. You will be raising health and safety concerns appropriately. You will prepare home-cooked meals in accordance with the requirements of relevant legislation. You will ensure individual dietary needs are understood and catered for. You will be aware of allergens within foods and ensure safety when preparing and cooking meals.
