State Sales Manager (Western Australia) – Pumps Competitive Remuneration + Company Car + Super + Sales Incentive Plan Based in Metropolitan Perth About the Company Since 1933, firefighters across all of Australia have relied on GAAM Emergency Products (GAAM) to bring fires under control. GAAM continues to be an industry leader in the design and manufacture of a wide range of petrol and diesel-powered firefighting pump sets used by all the urban and rural fire services across Australia. Our primary customer base is all the government firefighting services, and truck builders spread across Australia, who require our pump sets to be included on the trucks that they are contracted to build and deliver to the respective firefighting services. Overview and Remuneration We are looking for an individual with a minimum of five years’ experience in manufacturing and selling pump sets. We are looking to appoint an individual who in a relatively short period of time can assume total ownership and accountability of the overall GAAM Emergency Products business across Western Australia. Occasional interstate and international travel are required. You will be an experienced and commercially focused self-starting team player who enjoys dealing directly with clients whilst ensuring both the clients and company needs are met or exceeded. About the Role and its Imperative Requirements For you to be considered you must: Have a strong working knowledge of pump sets. Be a sales professional with a proven track record over a minimum of 5 years selling pump sets. Have a demonstrable ability to drive and deliver technical solutions to our high‑risk industry customers. Be experienced in interpreting and responding to tenders. Have the ability to negotiate major supply contracts via your strong influencing skills. Demonstrate superior business acumen, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Have the ability to conduct face‑to‑face presentations and negotiations with clients. Be able to build relationships with key influencers including Government agencies, specifiers, and consultants. Other Requirements Whilst not imperative, it would be advantageous if you have had previous experience: Dealing with the various fire brigades and/or truck builders located across Western Australia. Achieving individual sales budgets, together with developing strategies to achieve those budgets. Representing your business at state based, interstate, and international industry conferences and trade shows. Selling ancillary firefighting equipment such as firefighting nozzles, monitors, hoses, and couplings. Hands‑on involvement in repairing pump sets & monitors (training will be provided).
