Join to apply for the Operations Supervisor role at Tazaki Foods LtdTazaki Foods is opening a brand‑new satellite distribution hub to service the North of the United Kingdom and needs new talent to run the operation.Job SummaryAs an Operations Supervisor you will blend office‑based tasks with fieldwork, including warehouse duties and delivery driving. You will lead the new site, manage a small team of operatives, drive service quality and compliance, and ensure profitability and customer satisfaction. You will supervise all aspects of warehouse and transport operations, ensuring compliance with legal, food safety and internal procedures.Working hours: 47.5 hrs per week, Monday to Friday 07:00–17:00 and Saturdays as scheduled.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure that all picking, replenishment, stock control and delivery duties are carried out smoothly by managing resources efficiently.Supervise and lead the Operations team, providing guidance, training, performance feedback and quality checks.Implement and enforce company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with safety, quality and operational standards.Identify process improvement opportunities and implement solutions to enhance warehouse efficiency and productivity.Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment, adhering to Health and Safety guidelines.Manage daily administrative tasks: general documentation, ordering consumables, agency timesheets, staff attendance/KPIs and other admin duties.Schedule servicing and repairs for warehouse machinery.Maintain a small fleet of vehicles, ensuring roadworthiness and reporting issues.Plan routes.Deliver and collect customer goods.Internal ContactsChief Operating OfficerHead of LogisticsFinancial ControllerHR ManagerWarehouse ManagerStock Control ManagerSales ManagerTechnical ManagerPurchasing ManagerExternal ContactsAll key logistic suppliersKey customersExternal IT providersRoad Fleet ProvidersRecruitment AgenciesVehicle Maintenance ProvidersDirect ReportsDriversWarehouse OperativesEssential RequirementsConsistently demonstrate a professional attitude when interacting with staff, clients and the general public.Proven ability to manage and optimise operations of multiple store locations simultaneously, driving growth and efficiency.Exceptional problem‑solving abilities, with a track record of independently addressing operational challenges.Excellent communication skills, effectively managing relationships with store managers, team members and business partners.Demonstrated leadership in fostering team collaboration, motivation and alignment with company goals.Hold a valid and clean Category C licence.Additional Skills That Would Be Of a BenefitJapanese and Chinese language proficiencyTransport CPC licenceKey Success MeasuresPerfect legal compliance of all vehicles and drivers.Maintenance of DVSA and BRC certification at or better than current levels.Maintain and improve service levels.Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Tazaki Foods Ltd by 2×. #J-18808-Ljbffr
