As a Lead Software Engineer - UX/React at JPMorganChase within Finance Technology, youare an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives. Job responsibilities Participates in, design and develop scalable and resilient systems using ReactJS and Python to contribute to continual, iterative improvements for product teams. Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting. Creates secure and high-quality production ready UIusing React. Develop and execute design/research strategies for complex projects and ensure alignment with business objectives and user needs across multiple product areas. Diagram service flows and product features, design wireframes, and prototype interactions for key touchpoints as you lead end-to-end design initiatives within a specific domain. Produces or contributes to architecture and design artifacts for applications while ensuring design constraints are met by software code development. Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems. Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies. Gain experience in application development, with a focus on creating efficient and user-friendly software. Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing and operational stability. Advanced skills in designing and developing responsive and visually appealing user interfaces using React, Python, and CSS, ensuring a seamless user experience. Able to design wireframes and understanding of Salt-Design System. Experience with state management libraries (Redux) Implement and maintain reusable code and libraries for future use, ensuring consistency and efficiency in UI development. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning. Experience using testing frameworks e.g Playwright Experience in building reusable components and implementing server-side rendering Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills Experience and certification in AWS and/or Databricks. Proven experience in building and designing large-scale global software solutions. Experience in Data Engineering, working with big data, data warehouses, and understanding data modelling; Data Mesh Architecture and building applications using Data Mesh Architecture.
