The position offers a starting salary of £20 per hour, with a £1,000 joining bonus payable after six months of continuous service for direct applicants.We can offer youBenefits32 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays rising to 37 with service, auto enrolment contributory pension plan and free life assuranceGenerous company pensionInhouse trainingHealthcare plan with access to dental insurancereferral schemes (earn £1000)Enhanced paternity/maternity leave/foster leaveMany discounts for family and friends.... gym memberships, theme days out, hotel and travel, High St Retailers....... +++Who are you?Do you hold a Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and have previous experience working on HGV’s or have you completed an apprenticeship in the HGV industry and enjoy getting your hands dirty?Apply now and join us, one of the world’s leading vehicle manufacturers, benefit from a joining bonus of £1,000 (on completion of a successful probation period) payable upon completion of 6 months continuous service (Full terms and conditions apply)What will you be doingWe’ll need you to:Ensure repairs are carried out according to manufacturer’s procedures, safely and responsiblyEnsure repairs are carried out in accordance with Volvo Standard Times using Volvo Special Tools where appropriateAssist in the fault diagnosis processComply with warranty procedures during repairs and warranty material on completion of each repairWork with the Parts Team to ensure the correct replacement parts are fittedRoad test vehicles when required (if you hold an HGV licence)Assist with roadside breakdownsEnsure company time recording procedures are complied with, and that job cards are completed accuratelyEnsure service sheets are completed as per Volvo instructionsEnsure all vehicle defects are reported to workshop controllersKeep all workshop facilities, equipment and tools clean, tidy and well maintainedWear personal protective equipment when appropriateSupport the development of young trainees and apprenticesReady for the next move?• Are you excited to bring your skills and disruptive ideas to the table?
