Job DescriptionHGV Technician / HGV MechanicLocation: CroydonShift Pattern: Choice of shift pattern (7am–3pm, 8am–4pm, or 10am–6pm)Rate of Pay: £22phContract: PermanentAbout The Company:An independent commercial vehicle repair and maintenance business in Croydon with a busy 8,000 sq ft workshop. Many of the Technicians have been with the business for many years.You’ll be working on a wide variety of vehicles including HGVs, trailers and LCVs. The workshop is well equipped with 3 ramps, more than 5 bays, and a brake roller tester – everything you’d expect to help a good HGV Technician do the job properly.The RoleAs an HGV Technician with us, your day-to-day will include:Routine servicing, inspections, and MOT preparation on HGVs, trailers, and LCVsDiagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faultsUsing diagnostic equipment to identify issues quickly and accuratelyWorking closely with other technicians and the workshop manager to prioritise jobsMaintaining a tidy, safe and well-organised work areaHours & PayChoose one of the following shifts: 7am–3pm, 8am–4pm, or 10am–6pmOvertime available before/after shifts and Saturday mornings£22 per hour (basic) / £25 per hour (overtime)What We’re Looking ForWe’re after an experienced HGV Technician with a solid background in commercial vehicle maintenance and repair.
