OverviewSenior DevOps Engineer (SC Cleared)Rate: Up to £100 an hourStart: January 2026Location: Hybrid – Must be willing to attend London site as requiredClearance: Active SC clearance requiredWe are supporting a high-impact public sector AI / data platform project delivering secure, on-prem and cloud-based solutions. The project involves building scalable infrastructure and enabling GenAI capabilities such as LLMs, vector stores, and advanced data pipelines to support next-generation decision-making and insights.We’re seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer who can provide both technical leadership and hands-on delivery. You’ll be working closely with both internal and client teams to establish best-in-class DevOps practices and mentor a small team of junior engineers and civil servants.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and mentor a small, less experienced client-side DevOps teamEstablish and maintain CI / CD pipelines, automate infrastructurePresent technical updates to stakeholders and support key decision-makingWork collaboratively in a hybrid, agile environmentContribute to secure, scalable deployments of GenAI and data-driven toolsProduce clear and maintainable documentation of configurations and processesEssential Skills5+ years' experience in DevOps with a strong track record of deliveryStrong Azure cloud expertise (VMs, networking, Key Vault, APIM, etc.)Experience with on-premises open-source components and containerized environmentsProven leadership, communication, and mentoring capabilitiesFamiliarity with data pipelines, vector stores, and GenAI / LLM integrationExcellent documentation and team collaboration skillsTechnical StackAzure Cloud Services (incl.
