Location: Greater Manchester, England, United Kingdom Company: Todio (Concept Group) Project Manager – Construction (FTC 6 months) Type: Contract Management of refurbishment and construction projects up to £1 million across our client base in Education, Local Authority, Retail, and Commercial organisations. The Role The role is a fixed‑term contract of 6 months (possible longer) and will involve the following duties and responsibilities: Ability to read and understand drawings, specifications and schedules of work, quantify and order materials, and assess labour allocation. Programming and planning contracts using appropriate software. Managing construction health and safety, safety planning, writing site‑specific risk assessments and method statements. Co‑ordinating, organising and instructing various subcontractors on site, ensuring timely scheduling and completion of works whilst providing best value. Estimating minor works, quantifying extras as they arise, and visiting sites to aid QS in pricing works. Labour allocation, management and supervision of in‑house and sub‑contracted labour across multiple sites. Ensuring maintenance work is carried out on schedule and to client requirements, including the use of an internal software package. Liaising with the client and office team to deliver projects to an excellent standard while managing costs, protecting and increasing the margin; timely invoicing of valuations and final accounts working with the QS. Building and developing client relationships leading to repeat business. The Person Experienced project manager delivering multiple projects simultaneously. Can work independently and as part of a small team. Excellent attention to detail and communication skills. Ability to develop and build relationships quickly. Proficient with IT systems, Excel and Word. Willing to travel to project sites nationally. Must hold a full UK driving licence. Honest, trustworthy and reliable. Energetic and driven.
