Position Details Location: Wirral Shift: Full time, Long term Start Date: Immediate Responsibilities Provide individual and small group support to students with special educational needs. Assist students with academic work, social skills, and emotional well‑being. Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment. Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour. Contribute to the development and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs). Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities. Support students in accessing the curriculum and achieving their learning goals. Implement strategies to manage challenging behaviour and promote positive behaviour. Requirements Minimum of 6 months experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant in a UK school. Valid Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one). Eligibility to work in the UK. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with SEN. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Strong organisational and time‑management skills. Experience working with a range of SEN needs (desirable). Knowledge of relevant safeguarding procedures (desirable). Positive and proactive approach to problem‑solving.
