School Minibus Driver Salisbury, Wiltshire £13.05 per hour (£25,185 pro rata per annum) Fixed term contract Avon Valley Academy Avon Valley Academy is looking to appoint a confident and reliable Driver to cover afternoon minibus transport for its students, starting January 2026. This is a fantastic, part‑time opportunity to join a dedicated team of staff that encourages all students to have high self‑worth and love coming to school. Working Hours Part time (5 hours per week, Monday to Friday‑term time only, 38 weeks per year, no Teacher Training Days). Usual working hours will be 2.40pm until 3.40pm. Contract: Fixed term (until 22nd July 2026). Required: January 2026. About the School Avon Valley Academy is a thriving, co‑educational school, educating young people between the ages of 11 and 16. Responsibilities and Expectations Cover afternoon minibus transport for students (2.40pm to 3.40pm). Drive a minibus safely and maintain health and safety standards. Liase effectively with school staff and pupils. Pre‑plan routes and schedules efficiently. Be self‑motivated, dedicated and consistent. Offer support as a strong team player and use own initiative. Maintain a clean driving licence and keep up‑to‑date records. Previous experience in a similar driving role is desirable. Adhere to health and safety requirements. Qualifications Full, clean driving licence and prepared to drive a minibus. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Can‑do attitude with excellent practical and organisational skills. Strong team player who can take initiative. Self‑motiv, dedicated and consistent. Willingness to comply with health and safety requirements. Previous experience in a similar role (desirable).
