We are looking for a Children Social Worker to join a Child in Need Team paying £35 per hour Location: Leicester Pay Rate: Competitive (dependent on experience) Contract Type: Locum Working Pattern: Full-time, Hybrid About The Role Leicester is seeking experienced and committed Social Workers to join our busy and high-pressure Children in Need (CIN) Team. This is a challenging yet rewarding role, supporting children and families at some of the most critical points in their lives. This is a hybrid working role, with an expectation that workers attend the office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, though additional days may be agreed at the discretion of the Team Manager. Due to the complex nature of the work, only candidates with a minimum of 3 years’ permanent post-qualifying experience will be considered for this position. Key Responsibilities Manage a caseload of approximately 20 children and families. Undertake robust Child in Need, Child Protection, and Court Work. Engage directly with children and their families to assess and plan interventions. Work effectively with multi-agency professionals to ensure positive outcomes. Prepare high-quality reports, statements, and attend court when required. Maintain up-to-date and accurate case recording in line with statutory responsibilities.
