If you want to be part of our Radis family then this is how you can be… About the role As a Support Worker in our Extra Care Scheme you will be supporting the elderly who are finding it difficult to cope due to physical frailty, enabling them to maintain their individuality and vital independence. You’ll help residents with restricted mobility to move to dining areas at meal times, communal areas for social activities and to the privacy of their bedrooms and bathrooms at their request. You’ll help them with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene and dressing. This will mean you’ll understand the importance of privacy and dignity—so important to everyone. You will have the opportunity to take part in physical and mental stimulation by being part of the recreational and social activities with residents, and as a group. And always with a kind smile and a supportive word, even when sometimes a day is challenging Shifts and pay Shifts: 06:30 to 14:00 and 14:00 to 22:00 (working every other weekend as part of your rota) Pay Rates: Week Days £12.50 per hour; Weekend Days £12.80 per hour Benefits for the Role Full and Part time hours available Free uniform and PPE Excellent career progression Fully structured support for all new starters available Full Out of Hours support full training, working towards Care Certificate, Dementia, End of life and other training courses In-depth online & Office based training Mileage Allowance for Cars & Bikes Paid Shadowing in the field You get paid by BACS every 4 weeks NEST Pension Refer a friend payment (Unlimited Payments) Subject to conditions We will pay for mandatory refresher training About Radis Established in 2001, Radis Community Care has grown to become a leading provider of community based social care and support for thousands of vulnerable adults and children in England and Wales, focused on supporting people to live independently in their own homes and part of their local communities.
