About the Role As Senior Consultant, Healthcare Strategy and Planning (HS+P), you will work in the established Lexica Healthcare Strategy & Planning team. In partnership with the Director and colleagues, you will help achieve the overall business plan to grow and develop strategic healthcare planning as a leading‑edge offering to external clients, including NHS organisations and private sector clients in the UK and overseas. The role is client‑facing and requires you to lead within the HS+P team by developing healthcare strategy and planning expertise, processes and procedures to ensure a quality‑assured service delivery. Responsibilities Deliver and manage healthcare strategy and planning advisory services of varying breadth and scope, often leading a team or working as part of a team on major commissions. Contribute to an annual new‑business development target, including preparing tender responses and delivering presentations for new opportunities. Lead clinical stakeholder engagement sessions, manage engagement programmes and facilitate clinical and operational strategy development. Write reports, briefs and business‑case contributions, peer‑reviewing texts for accuracy and quality. Use data‑analytics models to assess health service needs and demands at various levels and scales. Assist clients in investigating needs, developing solutions, reviewing options, and ensuring investment proposals incorporate productivity gains and transformation of service delivery. Qualifications Extensive knowledge of health services and/or health facilities, gained through clinical practice, roles within health providers, or professional contributions to healthcare projects. Agility in supporting delivery of a wide range of projects related to clinical and operational strategy. Strong interpersonal skills, client relationship management and account‑management capabilities. Facilitation skills and experience leading stakeholder engagement sessions. Excellent writing ability for reports, briefs and business cases, and peer‑reviewing. Data analytics skills for model building and assessment of demand and capacity. Creativity and solutions focus, with the ability to develop service models and quality assurance processes. Open, curious, and collaborative mindset to work across multidisciplinary teams and remote regions. Organisational skills to manage project inputs, budgets and team workload. Comfort with high‑level client interactions, including executive directors and clinicians, requiring political astuteness and relationship management.
