The Role Reporting to the Executive Manager Mental Health, AOD & Procurement this position is responsible for ensuring that commissioning activity, partnerships and projects respond to evidenced needs and delivers upon organisational strategy to improve equity of access to quality primary mental health services for priority communities and population cohorts. The role will collaborate with all functional teams across Adelaide PHN and play a key role implementing strategy to strengthen local service system responses to address community need. It will lead the development of collaborative responses across sectors and deliver upon strategies that support appropriate solutions. Responsibilities Provide leadership to the Mental Health Team, including leading: integration activities across mental health and suicide prevention. activities to support coordinated and collaborative approaches to suicide prevention services and aftercare. strategies to support service integration and collaboration across the mental health stepped care continuum. and ensuring adherence to best practice, clinical governance and policies. Review and provide advice and guidance on the design, implementation, delivery and performance of mental health and suicide prevention services and initiatives funded by Adelaide PHN. Provide oversight, input and direction in relation to the Joint Regional Mental Health and Suicide Prevention plan. Meaningful, active and professional stakeholder engagement representing Adelaide PHN, in particular with LHNs, GPs, pharmacy and allied health professionals. Work with stakeholders, including services users, community representatives and service providers to build strong relationships and improve service models for equitable care and access. Contribute to the development of mental health and suicide prevention needs assessments and annual plan. This position is being offered as a full-time, ongoing contract. There is flexibility to work from home 1 day per week post induction and training. About You To be successful in this role you will need: Relevant degree and post graduate qualifications in health/ mental health combined with a minimum 3 years’ experience in a management or strategic planning role. Significant demonstrated experience of successfully managing multi-stakeholder projects or programs. Extensive experience working in clinical mental health care delivery. Significant experience in health service planning, health project delivery or health policy review and improvement. Significant experience at a senior management level, including high level strategic thinking and planning skills; and ability to transition between the strategic to the operational. Ability to build and maintain strong collaborative business relationships for the benefit of the organisation.
