Position Summary This position is an opportunity for the candidate to join one of the largest real estate companies in the world. This role is ideally suited for a motivated individual seeking a dynamic work environment who is intellectually curious and has a growth mindset. The individual will be supporting the execution team, with primary responsibilities, including: Support in the preparation of loan solicitation materials, including property overviews, transaction strengths & weaknesses, property analytics and property market information Support in the negotiation of financing terms and loan documentation Assist in the execution and closing of transactions Market monitoring/research to support the investment teams by providing real-time information about real estate capital markets, including credit terms, pricing comparables and debt capital markets trends Monitor existing loans to identify accretive refinancing opportunities in conjunction with asset management teams Support in the administration of loans, including approvals, cash management and loan advances Help Capital Markets legal team track and understand key debt terms, creating consistency across all Brookfield vehicles with an eye towards long-term corporate liquidity and cyclical preparedness Qualifications & Requirements The Capital Markets team is a small, global team and interacts with all functions throughout the organization. The candidate must be a team player and possess strong communication skills. The job requires the candidate to possess strong analytical skills, be detail-oriented, articulate, and well-organized. The candidate must display initiative, good judgment in managing multiple tasks and strong problem-solving skills. The ability to think strategically and to present information in a clear and concise manner is critical. At least two to four (2‑4) years of relevant real estate debt finance experience Previous experience in real estate credit and an understanding of capital structures and the loan closing process is required Financial modeling skills including a high degree of proficiency with Excel, Argus and PowerPoint experience is a plus Significant transactional experience, including familiarity with loan documentation and loan closing Self‑motivated and driven; ability to work effectively in a fast‑moving, demanding and dynamic environment Demonstrated academic success with a bachelor’s degree in areas such as finance, accounting, or other analytical/quantitative fields from a top university Strong intellectual curiosity for the subject matter, analytical skills and creative problem‑solving ability Impeccable integrity and trustworthiness with the desire to lead a transaction Ability to multi‑task and work in a very fast‑paced environment with firm deadlines EEO Statement Brookfield is committed to maintaining a Positive Work Environment that is safe and respectful; our shared success depends on it.
