Assistant Management Accountant

Our Finance Manager is looking for an ambitious Assistant Management Accountant to join their high performing this role you will primarily be responsible for the accounting analysis and administration of the DPDgroup UK Network & OD functions and the preparation of management accounts. Other key duties include; Assist with the preparation of management information including weekly and monthly accounts Liaise with the relevant departments to ensure that costs are recorded on an accurate and timely basis and any variances to plan are investigated. Complete all balance sheet reconciliations in order with the company policy alongside managing the collation of all balance sheets on a monthly basis. To provide financial support to senior budget holders in their decision making process along with analysis where required for planning and projects. Own the preparation and processing of journals for the weekly reporting of Network & OD for inclusion in the weekly results consolidation. Own the preparation presentation and commentary for weekly Network & OD costs reporting to directors and senior managers Assist with the preparation and review of presentational information as requested. Assist prepare and review all management accounts outputs to the business ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Any other tasks that might be reasonably requested Qualifications : About You As the successful candidate you will be able to evidence that you have finished university with a minimum 2 : 1 classification in any degree discipline. Additionally you must be willing to study either ACCA or CIMA qualification (ACA is not offered) What were looking for; Strong analytical skills and be able to present results in a simple and clear manner. Ability to self-manage workload and prioritise tasks according to deadlines importance and urgency Excellent problem solving attitude with the drive to delivering results Ability to build rapport with the Finance team and other departments in addition to excellent communication skills Excellent computer literacy skills being proficient in using Microsoft Excel Word and PowerPoint Demonstrate the core values of DPD Passion Respect Honesty Flexibility Caring and Accountability.
