Senior Risk & Compliance Manager Currys plc Fixed Term Contract / Secondment for 6 months Hybrid Working: offices located in Sheffield, Warrington, and Loughborough Salary – circa £70,000 per annum depending on experience Role Overview As part of the Customer Management Centre (CMC) Risk & Compliance team, the Senior Risk & Compliance Manager will shape, embed and drive the risk management and compliance framework across the CMCs, ensuring we meet and exceed regulatory, client, internal, and third‑party requirements. Responsibilities Lead, develop and embed a robust risk management framework across the CMCs and outsourced partner. Provide oversight of risks and issues, ensuring robust assurance and timely reporting to key stakeholders on the effectiveness of the control environment and compliance with regulatory requirements. Lead the identification, analysis, and evaluation of operational risks and controls across all areas of the Customer Management Centre, including our outsourced partner. Develop and monitor key risk indicators to measure business performance against Currys’ risk appetite and regulatory obligations. Maintain and review Risk & Compliance policies, ensuring they remain relevant and effective. Collaborate with the CMC Leadership Team to design and implement operational best practices, process improvements, and enhanced controls. Qualifications Proven experience in risk assessment and/or compliance within a retail and financial services environment; knowledge of Financial Services Regulations is highly desirable. Background in working with BPO/Outsource providers, ideally across multiple geographies. Strong track record in complex, fast‑paced, customer‑focused business environments. Exceptional collaboration, relationship‑building, and influencing skills to engage stakeholders at all levels. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present recommendations confidently to senior leadership. Experience in managing remote teams effectively. Advanced analytical and problem‑solving skills, able to simplify complex issues and deliver creative solutions for maximum impact. Results‑driven with a clear focus on initiating and delivering objectives through to completion. Nice to have Familiarity with risk and control frameworks (training will be provided on all relevant frameworks and policies).
