Head of Marketing

We are looking for a Head of Marketing who fully understands and appreciates our values and uniquely offers to customers, helping us scale our work even further. The Head of Marketing will own the end‑to‑end strategic agenda, drive our brand and performance marketing forward, and develop a dynamic marketing plan focused on acquiring new customers through digital media channels. They will bring commercial acumen and business development know‑how to identify high‑leverage growth opportunities, lead engagement, negotiation and due diligence, and report to our Vice President for Customer Acquisition. Key responsibilities Own the development and delivery of the UK marketing strategy, managing a large marketing budget to maximize ROI and brand equity. Lead the execution of market‑leading digital marketing for new customers across existing and emerging channels. Develop and drive forward our brand strategy, bringing our Capital One values to life. Ensure marketing is compliant with internal policies and regulations. Proactively identify high‑leverage growth opportunities and engage, negotiate and conduct due diligence to realise these opportunities. Develop and manage key strategic relationships, co‑developing growth roadmaps with exciting partners. Own risk management processes, controls and budget management for all UK marketing activities. Sponsor internal and external growth investments, working with product managers and cross‑functional teams to bring them to market. Stay at the forefront of market developments, bringing external insights and driving investments to keep pace, especially with AI‑led marketing channels and tools. Develop, lead and elevate high‑performing cross‑functional teams (Marketing, Analyst, Brand, Creative, Operations, Legal, Technology) to drive marketing programs. About you Experienced marketing leader with a proven track record of driving growth across the marketing funnel in a highly regulated industry. Thrives in a high‑performing analytical environment that encourages creativity with integrated data‑led decision making. Demonstrable experience building and leading strong teams at scale in a high‑performance environment. Ability to identify key leverage areas, engage senior stakeholders for buy‑in, and translate them into clear objectives and deliverables. Strong understanding of brand strategy and how to drive performance across the marketing mix. Highly data‑literate with the ability to optimise performance across campaigns and channels. Balances strong analytical skills with empathy to understand customers and the brand. Strong communicator who can drive understanding of the brand, customer and growth plans within the organisation. Significant experience managing complex risk management processes and operating within financial promotion regulations. Where and how you’ll work Permanent position based in Nottingham or London. Hybrid working model – flexibility to work from office and home. Three days a week in the office (Tues‑Wed‑Thu); London‑based candidates may need frequent travel to Nottingham.
