Job Summary Newham's Podiatry Service is recruiting Band 6 podiatrists, full-time (Monday to Friday 9-5) or part-time. We are looking for enthusiastic podiatrists who can use and develop their skills across the full range of our services and be an active team member. Job location: The Appleby Road Health Centre, 63 Appleby Road, London, E16 1LQ. Interview Details Date: 21st January 2026. Morning registration: 9:00‑10:00 (no registrations after this time). Morning interview: 09:30‑12:30. Afternoon registration: 12:30‑13:15 (no registrations after this time). Afternoon interview: 13:15‑16:00. Address: Trust HQ, 9 Alie Street, London, E1 8DE (For interview only – the nursing assessment site is Appleby Road Health Centre). Responsibilities Assess and treat a range of patients, ensuring full patient/carer involvement and consent, and goal setting to develop individual treatment plans. Perform comprehensive yearly foot screening, including neurological, vascular and biomechanical assessments, and determine risk status using appropriate care pathways. Refer patients to appropriate specialist services as required. Evaluate outcomes and develop treatment plans using advanced clinical reasoning. Supervise staff, podiatry, medical and nursing students. Rotate through Nail Surgery, MSK, High Risk Foot, Triage and other specialised clinics; support agreed training including Diabetic Foot Module. Participate in service development and QI projects. Qualifications & Experience Degree in Podiatry. Current registration with HCPC. Certificate in Local Anaesthesia. Evidence of post‑graduate courses in CPD portfolio. Evidence of diagnostic skills to manage and assess foot pathologies. Experience in specialist clinics including Nail Surgery, MSK and High Risk ulcer clinics. 18 months post‑graduate clinical experience. Experience in ulcer debridement. Knowledge of non‑complex MSK conditions. IT skills including knowledge of clinical systems such as EMIS, RiO. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines. Ability to work within Trust and Professional standards and policies. Knowledge of wound care.
