As an Aspiring Child Therapist, you’ll help children express themselves, manage emotions, and develop positive coping skills within a school setting.In this Aspiring Child Therapist position, you’ll work alongside SEN staff, Speech and Language Therapists, and school counsellors, supporting pupils through both group and individual sessions. You’ll gain practical experience that will prepare you for further study or training in child therapy, counselling, or psychology.The Aspiring Child Therapist role is ideal for graduates who are patient, empathetic, and passionate about supporting children’s mental health and wellbeing.The RoleSupport pupils with emotional and social needs in classAssist with wellbeing interventions and mentoring sessionsWork collaboratively with teachers and pastoral staffHours: 08:30 – 15:30 (term-time only)RequirementsMinimum 2:1 degree in Psychology, Counselling, or related fieldGenuine interest in mental health and child developmentCalm, compassionate, and professional approachEnhanced DBS check, or willingness to applyRibbons & Reeves are London’s leading Education Recruiters.
