Consultant Addictions Psychiatrist Change Grow Live is a charity dedicated to the belief that we can make a difference to our Service Users' lives. We are looking for a consultant psychiatrist to provide leadership, expert advice and direction to ensure that service users consistently receive high-quality services that adhere to best practice guidelines and achieve high professional standards. Responsibilities Provide clinical assessment, including psychiatric and physical investigations, of a wide range of substance misusers presenting to the service. Operate within guidelines, policies and procedures relevant to the post. Conduct phlebotomy tests and support nursing team to ensure maximum testing for BBVs and Hepatitis A and B vaccination. Attend multidisciplinary meetings as appropriate. Participate in continuing professional development, annual appraisal, revalidation and join appropriate supervision and PDP groups. Work in partnership with users and carers to empower them to make decisions about their treatment and care. Remain up to date on professional developments as required by the professional body. Qualifications Medical Degree, completion of Basic Medical Training and Full GMC UK Registration with licence to practice. MRCPsych or equivalent qualification. Good knowledge of addiction psychiatry and relevant mental health legislation. An understanding of the work of other agencies, including non-statutory services. Experience working with substance misuse and mental health issues, and ability to deliver quality services. Capacity to work independently and keep calm under pressure. What We Offer Salary: £138,714.28 – £149,713.64 (pro‑rated for part‑time hours). Inner London weighting: £4,133.14. Location: Tower Hamlets. Contract Type: Fixed term until 18th January 2027. Part‑time hours: 22.5 per week (pro‑rated salary). Annual leave: 25 days plus bank holidays, with an extra day for each year of service up to five years (30 days after five years).
