About this role
The Damp & Mould Surveyor plays a critical part in ensuring safe, healthy living conditions for our customers.
You will work across residential property portfolios to identify, diagnose and resolve damp, mould and condensation issues and support operational delivery teams in achieving excellent customer outcomes.
As a Damp & Mould Surveyor you will report directly into the Contracts Manager and/or Operations Director.
Your duties relate to the Damp & Mould service area within your operational workstream.

Main duties and responsibilities
As a Damp & Mould Surveyor you will:
* Carry out diagnostic site surveys in properties reporting suspected damp, mould or condensation.
* Determine root causes, including structural, environmental and lifestyle contributors.
* Produce detailed survey reports with photographic evidence and clear recommendations.
* Specify suitable remedial works and ensure relevant follow-on actions are scheduled.
* Support residents with clear explanations, expectations and guidance.
* Maintain accurate updates to clients through portals and internal systems as required
* Attend technical meetings with clients, contractors and internal teams as required
* Contribute to the collection and collation of compliance and KPI data for management reporting
* Work with SMT and Contracts team to support the company’s H&S strategy and culture, ensuring all training, auditing and reporting obligations are met
*
* Provide expert guidance to operational colleagues, engineers and residents on damp, mould and condensation best practice.
Experience & Skills
* Demonstrable experience in residential surveying / diagnostics, ideally involving damp & mould work.
* Experience delivering technical services within a compliance-driven environment.
* Ability to manage a diverse workload with changing priorities

* Understanding of regulatory requirements relating to damp & mould, property condition, HHSRS and resident safety.
* Relevant qualification in surveying or building pathology desirable.
Routes to progression

Future advancement opportunities may include Senior Damp & Mould Surveyor, Technical Manager or Compliance Manager.
To be considered for promotion, individuals will typically need to demonstrate the expected technical experience, leadership and training requirements for the next level, and may be invited to formal interview as part of the selection process
Skill/Experience
Experience carrying out property condition surveys relating to damp, mould & condensation
Proven capability in diagnosing root causes and producing detailed technical reports

Proficient in surveying technology, portals, digital reporting tools and data capture systems
Consistently delivers accurate information in line with operational timescales and workstream priorities
