The role offers a salary of up £65,000 + 25 days holiday + Hybrid Working.The Architectural practice was founded over half a century ago and has grown to over 250 people across multiple UK offices. They have established themselves as an industry leader in planning advice, heritage consultancy, building surveying, conservation and contemporary architecture. Working with public bodies, charities, trusts, private companies, contractors, developers and individuals, they have been involved in the care and development of some of the best-loved buildings and in the UK and abroad.Role & ResponsibilitiesAdvise project design team members and clients on Health and Safety risk management matters in line with current UK and sometimes international CDM RegulationsDevelop the role of CDM PD within the companyReview projects and designs prioritising CDM PD appointed projects and advising on any other projects to allow office-wide consistency on pre-construction Health and Safety matters and standardsCollate, organise, and assist the client in providing pre-construction informationManage and coordinate the health and safety aspects during the pre-construction phasePrepare and issue the health and safety file on completionAssist with compiling and developing guidance material and management toolsDevelop and give training to in-house design disciplinesCarry out research into Health and Safety Standards (National and International) and good practiceWhere necessary liaise with Enforcing AuthoritiesCritically appraise Design Risk Assessments submitted by project design teamAssist with the completion of Design Risk Assessments.Required Skills & ExperienceExperience and understanding of design and construction management and methodologiesArchitecture or consultancy backgroundProven skills in the delivery of CDM/H&S consultancy servicesNEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent IOSH membership and Member of APSProven experience in leading a Principal Designer / CDM teamDegree in either architecture, architecture technology, construction or engineeringHeritage project experience would be advantageous.What you get backSalary of up to £65,00025 days annual leave, increasing up to 30 days with servicePlease note that if you are NOT a passport holder of the country for the vacancy you might need a work permit.
