Band 3 Health Care Assistant A rare opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated either full time or part time Band 3 Health Care Assistant to join our team, for posts across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. Overview The main aspect of the role is to care for patients with chronic respiratory disease in the home setting and in our Pulmonary Rehabilitation Classes. Key Responsibilities Support health care professionals in providing expert care for respiratory patients, helping to prevent avoidable hospital attendances. Assist in Pulmonary Rehabilitation Classes and promote focused self‑management. Work flexibly across the countywide respiratory service to cover as necessary. Support the physiotherapist in delivering face‑to‑face and virtual pulmonary rehabilitation programmes; motivate and support patients throughout the course. Provide high standards of health care and support patients within their community setting by following prescribed packages of care. Provide care to patients with deterioration in their health or function with a particular focus on admission avoidance to acute hospitals. Deliver functional assessments, including mobility and appropriate exercise and equipment provision. Support staff in the management and execution of clinical practice. Carry out duties delegated and supervised by registered professionals. Provide a high standard of care. Manage own caseload of patients who require ongoing management and support with complex needs. Requirements The successful candidate will have respiratory and/or community experience; full training and support is available. Employment Full-time or part-time; entry level.
