Job summary We have a fantastic opportunity for you if you are looking to broaden your existing clinical knowledge within Oncology. NHS experience including rotations within medicine, neurology and musculoskeletal is essential. We pride ourselves in supporting staff with good team and department structures and morale. We run specialist clinical training, and non-clinical training. We have students on placement in specialties across the department. We also have superb working relationships with our Consultants and Multidisciplinary Teams across both inpatients and outpatients. Main duties of the job The team provides a 7 day service across inpatient Oncology. You will spend your time based on the Oncology wards, so will need skills to assess and treat a broad caseload. Our clinical staff are involved in Trust level clinical and non-clinical projects and have opportunities to drive service development, audit and evidence based practice. To assess and treat patients in oncology. To support the team in the organisation and provision of an efficient, high quality and co-ordinated physiotherapy service for patients in each area. To undertake a defined clinical caseload. To ensure that patient and service standards and priorities are met. To provide clinical supervision to assigned junior physiotherapists, technical instructors, physiotherapy assistants and students.
