As part of this role, you’ll be working in Isio’s Actuarial & Consulting team, consisting of over 400 pensions consultants and actuaries advising a diverse range of clients and stakeholders across the private, public and not‑for‑profit sectors. We advise on everything from helping trustees and sponsors manage their defined benefit plans, running large scale communications projects and implementing alternative reward and pension provision. The range of work we get involved with is vast and there’ll be opportunities for you to gain new experiences and put your skills to the test. This role will be part of the Enplan Team – Enplan is one of the fastest growing DB Pension consolidators in the market. The team are currently managing over 60 pension schemes of different shapes and sizes and continue to attract new schemes. This is a great place to develop your actuarial career – whether that’s getting more client exposure or taking on Scheme Actuary appointments. What's the role: We’re looking for qualified or nearly qualified pensions actuaries with significant industry experience to join our team. As a challenger in the industry, we value individuals with excellent pensions consulting and technical skills, a commercial outlook and an entrepreneurial mindset. Key responsibilities Leading the delivery of advice to clients – this may include managing key client projects directly, or with support. Being involved in the technical aspects of projects while building relationships with clients directly, working as part of a team and developing those around you. Assisting in the development of new business, both with existing and new clients. Enplan schemes vary significantly in size, therefore in your role, you will have numerous opportunities to engage and consult with schemes varying in asset size from as little as £1m to over £200m. Where is the role: The schemes within Enplan are serviced by a dedicated team within Isio with hubs based in Manchester and Scotland – but we are open to considering those in other locations joining the team including Birmingham, Bristol, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Leeds, London and Reading. We work on a hybrid basis, offering the opportunity for colleagues to split their working time between the office and home. Key Skills & Experience Experience – a qualified or nearly qualified actuary FIA/FFA or equivalent with relevant industry experience. A great communicator – someone who can explain complex problems simply to help everyone around the table understand. Enthusiasm and motivation – a great deal of desire to solve problems and deliver excellent advice. Excellent project management and client delivery skills – especially when balancing multiple demands. A great team worker – can work as part of a team or manage a team, depending on your experience. Commercial skills – to help us develop our business and look for new opportunities.
