SEN Teacher – Brixton Location: Brixton Schedule: Full‑time, Monday to Friday Pay: GBP165 – GBP260 per day (depending on experience) Small class sizes Job Overview A truly supportive and specialist SEN school in Brixton teaches students in Year 12. The focus is on lifeskills and Entry Level Maths and English, preparing students for adulthood, independence and further opportunities. All students have a diagnosis of autism and may have mild learning difficulties (MLD) and communication needs. What This Role Offers Two experienced teaching assistants supporting within the classroom Well‑resourced classrooms and access to specialist SEN tools and materials A collaborative and welcoming team environment Weekly CPD opportunities to support professional development Easily accessible transport links to and from Brixton Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver personalised lessons that build practical skills for life. Teach Entry Level Maths and English to support functional learning. Foster independence, confidence, and social communication. Track progress and adjust teaching accordingly. Collaborate with parents, therapists and the wider school team. Ideal Candidate Held QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification. Experienced as a primary or secondary teacher. Has a genuine passion for working with autistic students and those with MLD. Has experience with or interest in teaching lifeskills and functional curriculum. Is adaptable, creative, and committed to inclusive education.
