Security Officer (DSO) - London Security Officer 14.27 per hour / 29,702 per year | Working 4 days on, 4 days off | Full Time Role Welcome to The Standard, one of the most culturally engaged hotels in the world. We seek a Security Officer who embodies our "Anything but Standard" ethos, who brings individuality, passion, and a flexible approach to ensure the safety and security of guests, personnel, and property. Responsibilities Join a dedicated security team focused on front‑ and back‑of‑house safety. Respond immediately and calmly to all emergency situations. Conduct security patrols around the property and manage safety incidents involving guests, contractors, and staff. Act as liaison with local police, fire, and food‑safety authorities. Maintain a meticulous eye for detail, providing coaching and training to uphold service and presentation standards. Work a rotating schedule: 4 days on, 4 days off, with night and day shifts. Qualifications Proven track record as a Security Officer or Supervisor, preferably in a 4/5 star hotel. Control room and door management experience at a busy venue is advantageous. Strong understanding of fire, health & safety, and food safety policies. Experience managing complex emergency situations. Ability to deliver consistent training across the team. Minimally qualified to Level 2 in Health & Safety. Licence and certifications: SIA Licence, Personal Licence, First Aid, CCTV Control, Fire Marshal. Must hold a valid UK work permit; documented eligibility required before employment.
