Senior Counsellor and Wellbeing Worker – Step Forward Location: Tower Hamlets, England, United Kingdom. Age group served: 11–25 years. Step Forward is seeking a Senior Counsellor and Wellbeing Worker to provide high quality therapeutic support to young people and clinical supervision to honorary counsellors. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young people aged 11–25 years and combine direct therapeutic work with leadership responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Provide high quality and confidential 1:1 counselling and wellbeing support in a range of settings. Deliver clinical supervision to Step Forward honorary counsellors/therapists. Facilitate small group sessions and wellbeing workshops. Support engagement with young people who are less likely to access traditional mental health services. Lead and/or contribute to service improvement initiatives. Monitor and evidence the impact of therapeutic interventions. Build and sustain partnerships with external agencies (e.g. CAMHS, schools). About You Recognised qualification in Counselling or Psychotherapy (accredited or working towards). Supervision qualification and experience providing clinical supervision to practitioners. Extensive experience delivering evidence-based short, medium, and long-term therapy. Experience supporting young people with a wide range of presenting issues (e.g. anxiety, depression, bereavement, trauma, abuse, identity and relationships). Minimum 2 years’ counselling experience with young people aged 11–25. Experience working in school and multi‑agency environments. Commitment to holistic, young people centred care. Strong safeguarding expertise, including managing complex cases and multi‑agency working. Leadership and/or mentoring skills to support colleague’s professional development.
