Overview We are delighted to be working exclusively with a prestigious law firm to recruit a strategic and experienced Business Development Director to lead and elevate the BD function in its London office. This is a high-impact leadership role with full partner support and global visibility. About the Role This newly created position offers the opportunity to shape the business development strategy for a high-performing London team. You'll work closely with senior partners and report directly to the global Chief Marketing & Business Development Officer. The role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative, cross-border environment and is passionate about driving growth and innovation. Key Responsibilities Lead and expand the London BD team, currently comprising two BD Managers. Partner with practice groups to identify and pursue strategic BD opportunities. Develop and implement targeted BD plans aligned with firm-wide priorities. Guide client targeting, relationship expansion, and cross-border initiatives. Oversee pitch and proposal development, marketing collateral, and thought leadership. Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform strategy. Candidate Profile Minimum 10 years' experience in business development and marketing within a law firm or professional services environment. Proven leadership and team-building capabilities. Strong strategic thinking and project management skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
